I’ve been wanting to try plein air for a while and when I found James Gurney on youtube recently I just had to give it a go.
I already had an old backpack with integrated chair, and an old camera tripod, and a shelf with a claw from a music store, so I quickly designed an easel and laser cut it.
It got a ruler/rest, and a plain rounded one.
The sun moved very quickly, and I am struggling with dry times, but so much fun, and challenging.
